After our two “controversial” posts from earlier this year, The Top 10 Hottest Female Snowboarders of All Time and The Top 10 Hottest Male Snowboarders of All Time, caused such a mixed, passionate and somewhat heated response, we thought what better way to celebrate the upcoming Winter Olympics then by putting together a list of the top ten hottest athletes attending. We love the drama!

So if you’re a fan of the Games then here are some extra women competitors to keep an eye out for. And if you’re not a fan, some good reasons to start watching. So in no particular order, here are our HOT 10 OLYMPIANS;

Julia Dujmovits

Julia Dujmovits

  • Nationality: Austrian
  • Discipline: Alpine
  • Born: 12th Jun 1986(31), Güssing, Austria
  • Sponsors: Under Armour, Specialized, Kessler, Smith Optics, Diesel, Skoda, Sorel
  • Height: 1.68m (5’5)

Julia is an extremely fit and dedicated athlete. At PyeongChang in 2018 she will be looking to take back-to-back gold medals after winning the Parallel Slalom at Sochi in 2014. She lives her life on the road and her Facebook feed shows her in a new exotic location almost every week.

Julia always has time to train with the road to the games being her main focus. She sites yoga and Kondi training as her main methods to stay fit while not on the snow. She also enjoys her time training off season as well, kite surfing, stand-up paddleboarding and in the mountains amongst nature. The gym junkie apparently loves drinking Chiefs Protein too.

Nadja Purtschert

  • Nationality: Swiss
  • Discipline: Halfpipe
  • Born: 3rd Sep 1989(28), Pfaffnau, Switzerland
  • Sponsors: O’neill, Nitro, Smith Optics, Swatch
  • Height: 1.66m (5’4)

Nadja first competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics for Switzerland. In halfpipe she finished 23rd in the qualifying round, failing to advance to the finals. She has had mixed results since then and will need to push herself to make an impact in PyeongChang. We hope she does well.

Naja keeps herself busy and fit with surfing, hiking, running, skating, yoga and stand-up paddleboarding. Oh, and traveling the world also. After snowboarding she is qualified to be a primary school teacher.

Spencer O’brien

Spencer O’brien

  • Nationality: Canadian
  • Discipline: Slopestyle
  • Born: 2nd Feb 1988(29), Alert Bay, B.C., Canada
  • Sponsors: Nike Snowboarding, Rockstar Energy, Mazda Canada, Whistler/Blackcomb
  • Height: 1.70m (5’7)

She is 29 years old, beautiful, from Canada and a two time World Snowboarding Champion. X Games says she’s “one of the most progressive female slopestyle riders on the scene.” Always a favorite to podium, Spencer’s already earned five X Games medals (1 x gold, 1 x silver, 3 x bronze). In 2015 she was the first female to land a Backside 900 in X Games competition, and she throws a mean-stylish frontside 5 as well.

Spencer’s classic, exotic beauty may stem from her Aboriginal heritage. This is obviously appreciated, along with her long list of prestigious feats, by Nike, who made Spencer their first ever head-to-toe sponsored female snowboarder.

Spencer has already represented Canada at the Winter Olympics in Sochi in 2014. Unfortunately O’brien was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis just before the event and she came in last place (12th). She did not attribute the result to her disease. Her recent results of a gold medal at the 2016 Aspen X Games, and a silver at the 2016-17 World Cup have put her in the Olympic podium conversation for 2018.

Some sage advice from Spencer for up-and-coming riders looking to get sponsored;
“My advice to young girls coming up is to be persistent and to believe in yourself. You might get rejected your first or even third try, but if you believe you have what it takes someone else will too.I was horrible and got last at almost every contest, but I guess I really believed in myself.”

  • Born: 27th Dec 1986 (30), Cooma, N.S.W. Australia
  • Sponsors: Roxy, Rhythm Snowsports
  • Height: 1.61m (5’3)

After already reaching the pinnacle of her sport with an Olympic gold in halfpipe in 2010, the ever-smiling Torah followed the feat up with a silver in the 2014 games. In the Vancouver games of 2010 she was the sweetheart of the Australian team and was chosen as the flag bearer for the opening ceremony. In the games Torah qualified 1st for the finals but crashed out in her first run. She was the first to nail her second run and the score was enough to get her a tense victory. Now 30 years young, Torah says that she is up for the challenge again, and will be sporting the green and gold in the pipe for Oz in Pyeongchang 2018.

Very highly respected amongst her peers, Torah is a living legend within the Australian snowboarding scene. After spending many years close to the mountains of Utah she has returned back to the sunny shores of Australia. If she is not at her local resort Thredbo, giving friendly snowboarding advice to youngsters, then she can be found at Bondi Beach where she’s always very approachable to have a chat with fans and locals.

  • Sponsors: Rockstar Energy, Nike, Oakley, Nitro U.S.A., Under Armour, Stance
  • Height: 1.67m (5’6)

As part of a one of the world’s strongest Olympic snowboard teams, Norway, Silje’s skills on a board are not to be taken lightly. She won her first X Games Slopestyle gold at the Europe event in Tinges, 2013 at the age of 20. The following year she won Winter X Games Slopestyle gold in Aspen and backed it up with another gold medal performance in 2015.

A triple threat proficient in halfpipe, slopestyle and boardercross, she chose to focus on slopestyle for the 2014 Sochi Olympics. She qualified 4th in the semifinals but was unable to better her position in the finals finishing 11th overall.

With her long flowing blonde hair, stunning blue eyes and pixie-like, covergirl looks, Silje is a marketing juggernaut. As the poster girl for Nike snowboarding she has featured on the covers of the Norwegian editions of Cosmo and Elle magazines. Her Instagram has over 300k followers!

  • Nationality: Russian
  • Discipline: Alpine
  • Born: 27th May 1989 (28), Novosibirsk, Russia
  • Sponsors: Kessler Snowboards
  • Height: 1.75m (5’9)

Alena first represented Russia at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, and then again in Sochi in 2014. In the later Olympics she managed to take the bronze in Parallel Giant Slalom in front of her Russian home crowd. As this season of racing has been one of her best to date (she is currently ranked first in the Parallel Giant Slalom) the former World Champion figures very highly to take a medal at the games next February.

Her snowboarding husband is Vic Wild. Vic is an American born alpine racer who famously left a non-supportive US alpine snowboarding system to go and race for Russia, the homeland of his new beautiful wife Alena. He went on to win 2 gold medals for Russia at the 2014 Sochi Olympics and the Order For Merit to the Fatherland Award handed to him by Vladimir Putin. National hero with a gorgeous spouse, I guess that’s a win-win.

  • Nationality: Slovenian
  • Discipline: Halfpipe
  • Born: 18th Sep 1991 (26), Ljubljana, Slovenia
  • Sponsors: Burton
  • Height: 1.64m (5’4)

From superpipe to slopestyle, Cilka Sadar, an exotic Slovenian beauty, is about as well-rounded as a snowboarder can get. She competed at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada, where she finished 17th in halfpipe. Sadar also qualified for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, however during practice she injured her knee and had to withdraw from the competition.

Cilka’s best competitive season to date came in 2011/2012 when she took the TTR Overall World Tour title, showing her dominance and versatility in all forms of competitive freestyle riding. She could be a dark horse come February. She also chooses beer over McDonald’s, dreads over tattoos and bread over pasta… interesting.

Eva Samková

  • Nationality: Czech
  • Discipline: Boardercross
  • Born: 28th April 1993(24), Vrchlabí, Czech Republic
  • Sponsors: Red Bull, The North Face
  • Height: 1.71m (5’7)

Eva Samkova is a voluptuous, bubbly Czech Snowboard-X racer who’s competitive signature move is to sport a moustache drawn on her upper lip during events. There must be something behind the tactic because she won gold in the Snowboard Cross at the 2014 Sochi olympics. Add to that two X Games silvers and multiple world cup wins = Lucky Tache?

Eva started her competitive career as a freestyle snowboarder but switched to boardercross after suffering several injuries. The move has paid off in spades as she is the favourite to take home another Olympic gold in 2018 after a stella world cup showing in 2017 finishing first overall.

Eva is somewhat of a celebrity in the Czech Republic with her own TV and radio shows. Now I’d tune in to that! She says “I love all sports but SBX is the best!”

So that’s ten amazing and gorgeous Olympic snowboarding athletes to check out at PyeongChang in February.
We are going to leave you with one last 2 time Olympian who has just recently retired from competition. It’s a shame we wont see you there Maria Ramberger.
